Summer Camp?

Here is the new pasture of Akila (now known as 'Little Belle') and Red, (possibly known as 'Clyde' now). It's 4 acres. I recommended that they put another horse or 2 with them or cut it down, because come Spring, these little guys will blow up like the Goodyear Blimp!

Akila had her nicest halter on for her new place, and alas, she has a terrible time with her hairdo, but she had had her 'hoof-i-cure' recently and I brushed her a bit. Pretty little girl.

Red was mostly interested in the treats I had. He was sporting his blue halter for the trip, had had his feet done and got brushed up a tad. Winter fur is messy though.

Full of treats, dressed and waiting, although ...man, they really need a good stylist! Akila is giving me a raspberry...
Loading them was frightful, and I was a mess worrying about them riding in the trailer, but all went well. When we arrived, Akila had gotten loose and was happily munching some hay she found, and Red was mad because he stayed tied and couldn't reach it!

Sarah, their new 'young' human, takes them down to the creek/pond on warm days and Red splashes with his feet, while Akila rolls in it! They have a new pasture mate, now, a really old well mannered Gent named Poncho who is enjoying these little fur-balls. Sarah also took Akila into the house ! (well, the mud-room part). Sarah's Mom has a very good nature and just laughed at that. Red jumped up (a good 2-3 ft) into the tack room to visit Sarah when she was busy in there. She takes them for walks on their leads and they are an amusement to their new humans. There are 5 dogs that chase them around and vice-versa...They are happy and that makes me VERY glad!
I believe they might think they are at summer camp!
