The 'Raptor' Lands

***************************************
Rolling down the hill, with Bob in the lead on his 4-wheeler, the fifth wheel makes its way to the resting spot...

Maneuvering around the trees...

Finally setting down on the flat spot near water and electricity...Adam sits on the cement bench patiently waiting for the garage portion to open and allow axcess to his new toy... Keri and John are setting up..

Finally!!!!
His new 4-wheeler is rolled out!!
And Auntie and Uncle have 53 acres to run it on!

YEE----HAW!!!!
A seven year old boys' dream! Adam calls our home here in Virginia his 'happy place'...
His father John, my nephew, is riding Bob's 'Grizzly'. John spent a lot of his life with me, and now I am lucky enough to have his son want to be around me too. A fun week ahead, riding and we plan to do some creek exploring, and today we did something this 56 year old has never done! We went geo-caching, and found 3 caches!!!They were all within 5 miles of my house, and one had a coin in it that will be brought back to Mass. when they go home, and put in another cache for someone else to find and get it closer to its intended destination in Maine! This is all done through the use of a GPS and by going to http://www.geocaching.com/, you can find out how to get involved in this really cool pastime! It's fun and free and you can do it all over the world!
Check it out!

Ok, so maybe you were right, but I'm not hurt...

This is a good car for checking out the park and the ducks...I can play my radio, and you can push, Grammy!!
Another fun day with my Grandson...

The Big Dog

*************************
My cousins came a week ago Monday. They stop yearly on their way back home to N.H. from their stay in Florida. They have a fifth wheel pulled by a deisel pickup.
The fifth wheel is 40 ft long, and it is what is called a 'toy hauler', which means the back end opens up and you can put your 'toys' in there.
This is their motorcycle
You can see their 4-wheeler just in back of my hammock, and this is their pick-up.

The trees are a problem getting a rig this big down from the driveway, so they drove through the field. They are leaving for home tomorrow, and the plan is to back around the horses pasture, and pull straight back up the field. If all goes well we will repeat the procedure in a couple of weeks when my nephew comes with his big rig!

This is their dog, Winston, who has had a ball with the 'girls', Penny and Belle. Penny is new to her, but she knew Belle from last year, and remembered her! She loves Belle, and running free
and as you can see, the creek!

Their visit went really quick, and we've had alot of great cribbage games and 4-wheel runs to West Vaco and around our acres, not to mention all the dinners together here at home and out!
The girls will miss Winston, and look forward to next year!
